In the scope of the Project Resecal II financed by HORIZONT3000, CARITAS Kaolack works on various levels. One the one hand it especially supports women with the creation of vegetable gardens, processing units for fruits and vegetables and literacy courses. Consequently, they foster food security of their families as well as an increasing financial autonomy among women. On the other hand they apply mechanisms on the village level that enable the households to store their crop harvest in their village instead of having to sell it immediately.
