Communities of Practice in Central America

In the framework of HORIZONT3000’s Knowledge Management Programme, we held a very special meeting on 7 and 8 June 2023 in San Salvador. On this occasion, we met with our two Communities of Practice: “Familia Campesina” and “Promotoría por los Derechos de las Mujeres y Jóvenes”, made up of partner organisations from Guatemala, El Salvador and Nicaragua.

During both days, we defined the agenda for the demonstration of good practices and followed up on the work plans for 2023. In this enriching space we were able to exchange experiences, knowledge and learning and explore new ways to strengthen our actions and maximise the impact of the programmes in the communities we serve.

We thank all those who participated in the Encuentro for their valuable contribution, which was fundamental to the success of this day of learning and growth to propel our work into the future.

We will continue to work together to promote sustainable development, gender equality and the well-being of rural communities. We are excited for what the rest of the year holds and are committed to continue learning and sharing valuable knowledge through the KNOW-HOW3000 Programme!

The following organisations participated in the activities: Unión de Agricultores Minifundistas de Guatemala – UAM, Amoixquic, Miriam Guatemala, Asociación Colectivo Noj, ADES Santa Marta, Fundesyram, Fundacion Segundo Montes, Fundación Círculo Solidario de El Salvador, Asociación Mary Barreda Fundacion Entre Mujeres FEM and Colectiva Feminista.
